Contract Ratification

With our recent contract ratification, we are currently under the new agreement. The insurance 50% waivers OPT-OUT will be offered to all members wishing to exit their coverage with the district to take advantage of insurance from another source (husband/wife, life partner, tec..)  No member will be permitted to exit existing insurance without showing evidence of another existing insurance plan. 

An open enrollment period was also negotiated to allow for any changes to the current coverage status utilized to date. The option of changing coverage will be offered after an informational meeting to inform members of the plans available to them.

Save the date: on February 9, 2010 a meeting is being scheduled with a representative from LDP (broker) to outline all coverage's and answer questions members may have.
